Dr. Brent Cosens, D.O.
Dr. Brent Cosens earned his undergraduate degree from Pittsburg State University and his D.O. from Kirksville College Of Osteopathic Medicine in 1988. Dr. Cosens spent the first 15 years of his medical profession working for Mercy hospital, before opening SEK Urgent Care in 2005. He and his wife Michele currently own SEK Urgent Care and Direct On Site Care in Pittsburg, Kansas. Dr. Cosens says, “Practicing medicine is a very rewarding experience. I’m allowed to interact on a personal level with each person I see. The best part is that I get to help people get better.” Dr. Cosens has children ranging from ages 12 to 40. He enjoys bowling, golfing, and spending time with his family.
Kasi Hudson, APRN
Kasi grew up in Pittsburg, Kansas and attended Pittsburg State University where she earned degrees in Biology, Nursing, and ultimately earned her Master of Science in Nursing and became a board certified Advanced Practice Registered Nurse.
Before working at SEK Urgent Care, Kasi spent over 10 years as a nurse for Via Christi Hospital. Kasi’s passion is providing appropriate and efficient medical care to patients.
Kasi is married to her husband, Michael. They have two children, a son Russell, and a daughter, AnnaLynn.
Cara Russell, APRN
Cara was born and raised in Pittsburg, Kansas. She earned her undergraduate degree from Friends University and a Bachelor of Nursing from Pittsburg State University. Prior to joining SEK Urgent Care, Cara worked for Via Christi hospital for five years. Cara is passionate about increasing a patient’s quality of life and preventative care.
Outside of work, Cara coaches softball and teaches private lessons. She enjoys being outside, fishing,
Megan Runge, APRN
Megan was born and raised in Newton, Kansas. She earned her Bachelor of Nursing from Pittsburg State University, then earned her Master of Science in Nursing at Maryville University in St. Louis where she became a board certified Advanced Practice Registered Nurse.
She is married to Brett who is the Youth Pastor at South Broadway Baptist Church. They have an adorable 1 year old daughter, Beth. Megan loves interacting with their youth group at church and spending time with her family.
